Detoxification is a divine and natural process, where you are enabling your body the space and energy to rid itself of toxic waste, by eliminating foods that deplete you, inflame you and age you.

Why do we need to do a sugar detox?
So many people are addicted to sugar and/or processed carbohydrates, which leads to a myriad of health issues. In my clinic, many of my clients with digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, brain fog, and lethargy have one thing in common…They are all consuming too many sugars or processed carbohydrates and starches, in other words they are addicted to sugar.

Even if your relationship with sugar isn’t quite that extreme, a detoxification from sugar will still be of great benefit to you, by helping reduce insulin resistance – which basically gives your body a break from the roller coaster of blood sugar spikes and dips often leading to mood swings, brain fog, anxiety, poor sleep and that dreaded weight around the tummy area.

To support healthy and gentle detoxification I have designed a program that contains not only nutrition education and recipes, but also lifestyle modifications and daily practices that will help you to manage stress and put yourself first.

Over a period of 10 days, my plan will have you feeling lighter, brighter, more mentally clear and more energetic.

This Sugar Detox Program would be of benefit to most people, especially those with any of the following symptoms or illnesses:

The program recommends real, fresh, whole foods with recipes that are suitable for all the family.

It’s very common to feel a little “under the weather” when you first start detoxing.  Symptoms and severity depend on your current typical diet and sugar/carbohydrate consumption and your body's ability to detoxify.  

Some signs or symptoms of detoxification that you may notice initially:

• Headaches
• Smelly breath or armpits
• A white coating on your tongue
• Irritability
• Difficulty concentrating
• Dizziness or light headedness
• Fatigue or Nausea
• Sugar cravings - Although we have a plan to help support this.

You’ll be relieved to know, however, that this discomfort should only last a couple of days.

This Sugar Detox Program is dairy free, gluten free, grain free and, of course, processed sugar free.  While a meal plan and recipes are provided they are only suggestions to support your detox journey.  You are more than welcome to substitute food items to suit your dietary requirements, tases and seasonal availability as required.

• The course is delivered online over a 10-day period, via Emails.

'The focus of the sugar detox is to NOURISH your body with real, fresh, whole foods.  When your body is receiving the nutrients it requires its calls for "more" are diminished.  In fact, your gut bacteria, which have a HUGE say on your cravings, actually begin to alter within 24 hours of making nutritional changes.  Now, 10 days will not be a complete overhaul of your gut health, however it is an awesome starter to get you heading in the right direction.
